I hired a Jewish search angel to help me build a DNA only tree for my husbands surprise Ashkenazi Jewish DNA of 49-51%. We had to put a theory together regarding his maternal grandmother since we had no viable information about her. This was based on the existing DNA matches that we discovered and the spices we had on his mother and her father and his marriageto his grandmother.
So I agree with you when you recommend never giving up. I went from 0 to 806 direct DNA connections. It is a work in process. It also includes his 2 granddaughters.
