How many of you have questions about using DNA and genetic genealogy research strategies in your research?

[Just to be fully transparent, I’m waving my hand high.]

DNA testing and the results can be confusing.

Which DNA test to take?

What company to test with?

AND…..What do those DNA test results mean?

Fortunately, researchers are out there sharing their knowledge of genetic genealogy in a variety of formats from blog posts to videos to webinars.  Find a round-up of 15 posts on using DNA in your genealogy research here.

When you are done there, come right back, because I am sharing  the answers to commonly asked questions on DNA and genetic genealogy research.

Two Common Genetic Genealogy Questions Answered!

For the answers to these two questions, I am turning to Devon and Andy Lee – the Family History Fanatics!  I just love their YouTube channel and their videos on understanding DNA.  Short and easily understandable videos really do help take the overwhelm out of genealogy research!

Question #1  –  “Which DNA Testing Company Should I Use?”

It’s an important question to answer so you can achieve your genealogy research goals and make the most our of your genealogy research dollars.

Listen to Andy Lee’s answer:

Question #2 – “I tested with 3 different DNA test companies. Why are my DNA test results different with each one? Are they wrong?”

This is such a great question! It’s one I’ve wondered about, too. I think you will understand much better after listening to Andy Lee’s explanation.

Be sure and check out the rest of the Family History Fanatics YouTube Channel for more great videos.
