RootsTech Connect 2021

Obviously RootsTech is different this year. I miss being able to connect in person with genealogy friends from around the world (literally!).  But…I’m excited by the virtual options. I recently saw a statistic that 89% of RootsTech attendees in 2021 are first time attendees! That’s amazing.

If you have not registered for RootsTech Connect 2021 yet, it is not too late.  Go HERE and register – it’s free!

Here are some highlights you do not want to miss.

Lectures on all topics of genealogy!

On demand lectures will be offered covering topics from a wide variety of genealogy interests. It’s a bit like Netflix for genealogists. Watch what you want when you want.

Learn new skills and new genealogy resources from the comfort of your couch AND on your own time table. (Bonus: No long bathroom lines!)

Let me recommend a few you do not want to miss:

  • Exploring Your Culinary Heritage  – This one is mine, and yes, it’s a shameless plug for you to watch.
  • Once Enslaved, Once Slaveholder – Forging a Forever Family Bond  – Presented by Rhonda Roederer  and Beverly Bevel
  • Responding to the 1890 Federal Population Census Questionnaire – Presented by Shelley Viola Murphy
  • Collectionaire – Curate a “Best Memories” Family Collection – Presented by Stanley Kinsey
  • Crowdsourcing Your Brick Walls – Presented by Drew Smith

This is a small sampling of the genealogy lectures you can enjoy! Be sure to follow me on the Are You My Cousin? Facebook page where I’ll be sharing more of my favorite lectures and opportunities you will enjoy.

The Expo Hall

I am looking forward to the visiting the virtual expo hall! I have participated in travel industry virtual expo halls and found them a fantastic way to talk with the vendors and get questions answered. It is different obviously from an in-person hall, but you will quickly get comfortable with online chats and instant messages with the vendors.

Don’t Forget!

Join me  daily 25 – 27 February  2021 at 11:00 AM EST for daily Facebook Lives on the Are You My Cousin? Facebook page.

Spread the love
