Organize Your Genealogy!
Everyone should move once every 20 years! We did just that. Packing up my genealogy research, my ancestors’ photographs and all of the various family ephemera, I discovered I am NOT organized. (What’s worse? I thought I was.) Genealogy notes tucked here and there. Boxes of old family photographs still to be identified and scanned. In the closet. On the shelf. On my computer. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a public relief corps dating from 1933-1942. Part of the New Deal by President Roosevelt, this program was specifically for unmarried and unemployed men. Finding Quaker Records
You may find among your North Carolina ancestors members of the Religious Friends of the Society also known as the Quakers or Friends. Growing up in North Carolina, I was familiar with the Quakers who settled in Guilford County, at least on the surface.
