Tuesday’s Genealogy Tip – Find Family Photo Groupings
Can you recognize photographs of individuals in the same family?
Here is an example of photos from my collection. After studying photographs in our family collection, I was able to place these individuals on the correct side of the family. While I have not been able to give them names, the family resemblances provide important clues as to which side of the family they belonged.
These are not siblings, but all cousins on the Richardson side of the family. They have leaner and longer faces compared to the Elliott cousins below.
These are Elliott cousins. This side of the family has a rounder face shape.
Look back at your photographs? Can you place your ancestors in the right family line?
Let me know how you did over on the Facebook page!
